Zach

Hello! My name is Zach Kirby, and I would love to help with all your real estate needs.

Being a ‘born and bred’ Midlands native, I have an extensive background in most of the communities in and around our states capital city, including Lexington, Chapin, Irmo, Lake Murray, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, and downtown Columbia

I have spent my entire life in and around the real estate business. The majority of my life experiences that have prepared me for my career in real estate came from working alongside my parents, who have owned and operated an automotive repair business in Irmo for over 35 years.

Our family business was built on the principle that “people matter more than profit margins.”

My first and only goal, in every transaction, is to meet the needs of my clients by serving them with honesty, respect, and integrity.

After graduating with my bachelors degree in 2016, I took a job as a middle school history teacher and ended up working for both the LexRich5 and the Lex2 school districts. I loved my time in the classroom, but realized quickly that I was called to serve others in the home buying/selling process. I obtained my real estate license in July of 2017 and, after teaching for two more years, left the classroom to become a full time real estate agent in June of 2019.

Surprisingly, the tools that I acquired from teaching have transferred well into the real estate world. A large majority of my job in real estate involves educating my clients through the home buying, selling, or investing process.

When I’m not working, you can find me serving my local community through my involvement at my church, Midtown Fellowship Church. I have been a member of Midtown since 2013. With our Serve the City initiative, I enjoy giving back to our community through our work with Ezekiel Ministries, Epworth Children’s Home, Prisma Health Children’s Hospital, Transitions (a local homeless ministry), and Home Work’s of America

Susan

For almost 40 years, my husband and I owned and operated Imports Plus, a local automotive repair shop in Irmo, SC. During that time I enjoyed serving others through maintaining and repairing their second biggest investment, their vehicle.

After my family made the decision to sell the business in 2020, I decided to join my son's real estate team, The Kirby Team at NextHome Specialists, where I began pursuing a career in real estate.

Serving people well, problem solving, and accomplishing the task that others said was impossible are my passions. It is what I love to do, whether that be keeping your car on the road, or helping you to buy or sell your current home. It is my goal to earn your business and the referrals of your friends and family.

One of my strongest character traits is my ability to be straightforward and honest....even when that may not be the news you want to hear. In all things, the primary goal is serving others with integrity and honesty; not trying to sell you something that may not be right for you and your family. I will walk beside you before, during and after the transaction.

I hope to take the skills that I used to build a successful auto repair business and utilize them as the foundation of my real estate career. Knowledge, commitment, honesty, integrity, expertise and professionalism. Allow me the opportunity to earn your trust, your business and most importantly your friendship.

Let the Kirby Team at NextHome Specialists show you what it looks like to when strangers turn into clients, and clients turn into family.
