About Zach
Zach Kirby, a Midlands native, brings a wealth of local knowledge and expertise to the real estate market in and around South Carolina’s capital city. His familiarity with communities like Lexington, Chapin, Irmo, Lake Murray, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, and downtown Columbia stems from a lifetime spent in the area. With a deep-rooted background in real estate, much of Zach’s experience comes from working alongside his family in their 35-year-old automotive repair business in Irmo, where he learned the value of prioritizing people over profits. This philosophy continues to shape his approach to real estate, where his goal is always to serve his clients with honesty, respect, and integrity.
Diving into Real Estate
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2016, Zach took a position as a middle school history teacher, working in both the LexRich5 and Lex2 school districts. Although he enjoyed his time in the classroom, he felt called to serve others in a different way—by helping them through the home buying and selling process. Zach obtained his real estate license in July 2017 and, after two more years of teaching, transitioned to a full-time career as a real estate agent in June 2019. His background in education has proven invaluable in real estate, where he focuses on guiding and educating his clients through the complexities of buying, selling, or investing in property.
Loving Neighbors
Outside of real estate, Zach is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He has been a member of Midtown Fellowship Church since 2013, where he actively participates in the Serve the City initiative. Through his involvement with local organizations like Ezekiel Ministries, Epworth Children’s Home, Prisma Health Children’s Hospital, Transitions Homeless Ministry, and Home Works of America, Zach continues to make a positive impact on the Midlands community.
